According to Ephesians 1:22-23, the church is the body of Christ.  Since a body is organic and not an organization, so also the church, which is the body of Christ, is not an organization, but a living composition of the members of Christ.  Membership in the church is through divine birth; those who believe into Christ are born of God.

First Corinthians 14:26 tells us that whenever the church comes together each one of its members has something to contribute.  Therefore the church meetings are for the mutual building up of the believers through the function of all the members.  This causes the growth of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:15-16).

Our daily life and our meeting life are for the accomplishment of God's purpose.  The Bible shows us, from its beginning to its end, That God and human beings belong together.  Through God's work in time believers are being mingled with Him to become a mutual dwelling place of God and man which is called the New Jerusalem (Revelation 21:2; 10).
